This show will be themed around the Good For Her cinematic universe and/or the Monstrous Feminine; this will be a celebration of powerful, defiant, and sometimes terrifying female character who take back control- whether through revenge, transformation, destruction, or liberation. Good For Her cinematic universe examples include Midsommar, Gone Girl, Jennifer's Body, Promising Young Woman, Thelma & Louise. Monstrous Feminine is the feminist film theory concept by Barbara Creed that describes how female bodies, sexuality, and power are often coded as terrifying, grotesque, and threatening in horror and cinema; notable examples include Carrie, Ginger Snaps, The VVitch, Teeth.
